scanned or photo taken from hand that do not have ideal perspective - tools to fix them / Hugin
Correct Perspective
Using Hugin
- drag image onto Hugin panorama
- set HFOV to 50°
- In the stitcher tab change the projection to Rectilinear
- in the control point windows pick one end of a vertical or horizontal feature on the left image and then other end on the right image.
- add some points
- next go to the optimizer tab
- create panorama (this do the optimasation)
- it save the project and the point
- create the image (choose jpg).

Stitcher Tab refered in tutorials is in fact accessible in View Menu
A stitching panorama tool:
- can estimate lens distortion
- correct perspective - with a good selection of both vertical and horizontal control points
- stitching flat image - recreate larger flat image from a set

Install
- from PPA
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntuhandbook1/hugin
$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt install huginCompiling
