scanned or photo taken from hand that do not have ideal perspective - tools to fix them / Hugin

Correct Perspective

Using Hugin

  • drag image onto Hugin panorama
  • set HFOV to 50°
  • In the stitcher tab change the projection to Rectilinear
  • in the control point windows pick one end of a vertical or horizontal feature on the left image and then other end on the right image.
    • add some points
  • next go to the optimizer tab
    • create panorama (this do the optimasation) - it save the project and the point
      • create the image (choose jpg).

Stitcher Tab refered in tutorials is in fact accessible in View Menu

$ sudo apt update
$ sudo apt install hugin
