# Hollow print

When printing in color, colr is used to draw edge of drawing (in brown). If for whatever reason, there is no black or faint black, it would appears as software error, rendering only the contours of black shape.

To clarify, from the pc driver, choose Monochrome print, then only black will be used. And should not see anymore brown contours, but pale shape.

  • simply remove ALL cartridges and one by one install them again.
  • Bypass Brother printers’ colour cartridge requirement for black and white printing
    • enter maintenance mode *2864 > 63 > mono start > 3 > 99
  • reset cartdrige
• Print using only the black ink cartridge when the Color cartridges have run out.

# Enter maintenance mode

• press anywhere to illuminate home, then press Home for 5s
• press the black bottom tab for 3s
• then * 2864 (it beeps)

To exit - press stop to get to main screen and then 99
