- It’s a half-arsed implementation of a filesystem
- a memory dump is not a file format
- reading/writing the Registry in Windows NT is poor
- Types are not well specified
- Interchange formats are not well specified
- The Registry arrangement is a mess
- The Registry is a filesystem (vs a Database)
